Template Instructions

Welcome and thanks for using one of my Framer templates! This guide will help you quickly understand how to edit text, images, CMS content, and components

First of all, please click on this window and on the "play" button before the window name to be able to play videos.

  1. The interface

This video from the Framer team gives you an overview of the Framer workspace — where to find pages, layers, and properties.

  1. Editing Text & Images (non CMS)

You can edit the text & images by double clicking directly on their layer, or directly through the right panel. If a layer is locked or you cannot click it, you'll need to access it through the "Layers" panel, on the left side of the window.

  1. Editing and creating CMS Content

If your template uses CMS Collections (e.g. Works, Services, Team, etc):

1. Open the CMS tab (top left sidebar).
2. Select the collection you want to edit.
3. Click on an item to edit the fields.
4. Click + New Item to create a new entry (a new page is created automatically).

  1. Editing components

Some sections (like projects cards, buttons, or hero blocks) are built as Components.
You can:
- Click an instance → adjust content via the controls in the right sidebar (text, image, links, etc.).
- To edit the design globally: right-click → Edit.
- To make a local edit only: right-click → Detach Instance (breaks the component, not recommended if you want to reuse the component somewhere else).

PS: If you detach a component, it will no longer update with global changes — recommended only for unique edits.

  1. Editing Header & Footer

You can edit the Header & Footer globally by clicking on the "Assets" panel on the left side and then the "Main" template.

You can also remove the "Get template" button from there. The layout template is useful to display content on multiple pages of your website without having to add them manually.

Editing it once updates it across all pages automatically.

  1. Editing and creating styles

You can edit and create styles from the "Assets" panel on the left side, on the "Styles" section.

This is where you can update global colors, fonts, and spacing so changes apply site-wide.
